Sunday Preschool

Dear Parents of Preschoolers:

Do you know about the  "I am Special”  Sunday Preschool Program?

The program is available to families who attend the 9:30 am Mass on Sundays at Saints Felicitas & Perpetua Church and runs from Sunday, September 26th to Sunday, May 22nd.  (Parents must remain on the premises when their child is in Sunday Preschool).

Two, three, four & five year olds meet in the classrooms behind the church for stories, songs, dramatizations, art, activities and prayers.  It is during this time that our young children learn about our loving and caring God through the discovery of the gifts He has given to them--- the rain puddles they splash in, trees they climb, their friends and family.  But first and foremost, they come to know the personal gifts that God has given each one of them.

"Every child is someone special."

This religious education program aims to help young children develop a positive sense of their own self worth.  Young children must first come to appreciate themselves before they can come to appreciate God.  Their ability to know God and their ideas of God are strongly influenced by their ideas of themselves.

Open House is Sunday, September 12th after the 9:30 am Mass.  All families interested in enrolling their children in the Sunday Preschool are asked to stop by the tables outside the church.  Our preschool teachers will be there to talk with you and answer any questions you may have.  At this time you may also turn in the enclosed enrollment form.  Completed forms may also be turned in to the Rectory Office by September 13, 2010.

If you cannot join us for this "Open House" but are interested in enrollment or obtaining more information, please call Jackie Whitenack in the Religious Education office at (626) 796-0432 ext. 114.

Yours truly,
